Chelsea are plotting a stunning £60m move for Paul Pogba, even though the Frenchman is closing in on a new contract at Juventus, according to reports from The Express.

The rangy ex-Manchester United trainee has emerged as one of the very best young midfielders on the planet since joining the Old Lady in 2012, winning two Serie A titles and a spot in Les Bleus’ set-up.

His displays are understood to have attracted attention from the Blues, but despite his agent coming out and branding the rumours as “fantasy football”, the Londoners are readying a swoop.

Juve are in talks with the 21-year-old regarding a new deal, however Jose Mourinho is keen to gazump them.

Chelsea can offer Pogba a much greater salary than he can expect in Turin, yet it’s unclear if this will be a big enough lure for the player.

The starlet was pictured in London last week, fuelling talk of a move to Chelsea, but these claims were swiftly denied.

The player himself has also been spotted using the Football Manager video game with himself in the Premier League giants’ team.

    Pogba has amazing potential and can fit in perfectly at Chelsea.
    Link up with Defensive midfielder Matic will improve the holding in the Chelsea midfield and boost attack too.
    Pogba being an asset from set pieces is another plus point.
    Chelsea and Pogba, both, will have positive effects.
