Chelsea’s hopes of concluding a deal for Corinthians midfielder Paulinho have received a boost, with the player admitting that he is unsure of where his future lies.

The Premier League giants have been chasing the Brazilian international for some time, as they look to draft in fresh faces to improve their squad.

Paulinho made himself known to the Blues during the Club World Championships, where he helped his team beat the Londoners in the final to claim the trophy.

Due to a series of consistent performances a number of top European sides are believed to be monitoring his situation, including Inter Milan who reportedly made an approach for his signature during January.

He is widely expected to leave Corinthians this summer, and has admitted that he has no idea where he will be playing next season:

"I do not know what will happen in June. Nor can I say with certainty that I will stay or go away, we will see.” He is quoted by talkSPORT.

However, he maintained that he is not thinking about a move and that he is fully committed to his current employers:

"For the time being I am fully concentrated on Corinthians - what happens in the market, in summer or winter, we will see."
