Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has plunged his future with the Blues into further doubt by claiming that he will consider all of his options in a few months’ time.

The Belgian international is regarded as one of the top young stoppers in European football and has been tipped to be a Stamford Bridge star in years to come, despite him having not made an appearance for the club since his 2011 arrival.

Upon penning a contract with the Londoners, Courtois was immediately loaned to Atletico Madrid, where he has since remained.

His impressive displays in La Liga have resulted in interest from a number of top clubs from across the continent, but Chelsea are believed to be keen to keep him.

However, the 21-year-old is thought to be seeking assurances about his role at the club ahead of a potential return.

He wants regular first-team action, which may be difficult due to the presence of Petr Cech.

When asked about his future and a possible stay in Spain beyond this season, Courtois kept his cards close to his chest.

“It is not certain. I’ll see in a few months where my future will be,” Courtois told talkSPORT.

Courtois is said to be on the radars of both Barcelona and Atletico.
