Monaco striker Radamel Falcao will not be leaving the Ligue 1 club in January or next summer, as reported by Sky Sports.
The clubs vice-chairman Vadim Vasilyev has reassured supporters that their main man will not be sold and is happy in the south of France.
Chelsea are reportedly lining up a mega January bid for the Colombian hitman who is closing in on a return from injury for big spending Monaco who are struggling to keep pace with league leaders PSG.
The Blues have been warned off of France’s record signing as Vasilyev confirms Falcao is a crucial part of their long term aim to become not just a powerhouse in France, but also Europe.
“People believe it is suspicious to have such a great player in France,” Vasilyev said.
“They ask ‘When will he leave? In January or in June?’
“We have always stated that Falcao is essential to our project. He allows us to hire other players and build a whole team.”
