Deadline Day comes but once a year. Amidst the fanfare and the stress, the pageantry and the yellow ties, sometimes we miss some of the bigger stories or have no time to settle the debates that really matter.

Debates like, is letting go of Samir Nasri a bad idea; or would Jack Wilshere have benefited from a move abroad like Joe Hart? Or the debate surrounding which Deadline Day haircut really is the worst.

Well, here at Football FanCast, we don’t let you lose sight of what really matters. We’ve put together the three worst Deadline Day haircuts in one place so you can see them in all their glory.

It’s hard to argue that these barnets aren't quite simply shocking. But to be honest, who doesn’t love an obscene cut floating around your TV screen, trotting around the centre circle like a stroppy teenager?

You’d usually have to be good to get a haircut like these guys - so are they any good? We’ll see over the course of the season!

Didier Ndong

There’s really nowhere to start but with this man. Gabon international Didier Ndong has signed for Sunderland today in a deal worth £13.6m, the highest fee Sunderland have ever paid up front for a player.

But we’re hoping he’s a good player! Not just because he cost a lot of money, or that he comes from Ligue 1 side Lorient with a big reputation, but because thanks to his locks, he has a lot to live up to!

David Luiz

David Luiz dream xi

It’s a mop we all know, and frankly we all love. You can say what you like about David Luiz’s footballing ability - and trust us, many people will - but one thing you can’t say is that the man doesn’t have luscious hair.

If shampoo companies want to waste their money sponsoring goalkeepers who are thinning on top, then that’s their prerogative. But we say they should start thinking about putting their money on a cut like this one! Antonio Conte did….

Samir Nasri

Manchester City v West Ham United - Premier League

And finally, Manchester City bad boy Samir Nasri’s loan move to Sevilla this Deadline Day may have been sad for some City fans who have been through a lot with the midfielder over the past few years, but it’s also sad for anyone who wanted to see Nasri’s new bleached hair on a Premier League football pitch this season.

It did get a cameo appearance against West Ham United last weekend, but fans of Nasri's platinum top will need to tune into La Liga this season to see more of the Frenchman strutting his stuff in the south of Spain.
