Jose Mourinho will bring Thibaut Courtois back to Chelsea this summer after three seasons at Atletico Madrid, according to reports from The Mirror.

The Belgian stopper has been a Blues player since 2011, but he is yet to make an appearance for the club after being loaned out upon signing from Genk.

Despite being one of Europe’s most highly-rated ‘keepers, there have been major doubts expressed as to whether or not he has a future at Chelsea, with the player himself desperate to play regularly.

Courtois is known to have desires to be the Londoners’ number one, but with established glovesman Petr Cech likely to block his path, talk of a permanent move to Spain has populated gossip columns for some time.

But Mourinho is ready to get him back to Stamford Bridge to fight for a spot between the sticks.

‘The Special One’ is a big fan of the 21-year-old, and is eager not to lose him.

He is aware that Cech’s days at the top are coming to an end, and in a bid to build for the future Courtois may be given the chances he desires at Stamford Bridge.
