Alex McLeish has been extremely impressed by Chelsea this season and believes that Roberto Di Matteo doesn’t get the credit he deserves.

The former Aston Villa manager feels the Italian has transformed the club in every department and believes their attacking flair will ensure they win a lot of games this season:

“Chelsea has been a surprise from the point of view that they were a team last year who stopped teams playing and ground results out in winning the Champions League. I don’t think that Roberto has got the credit he deserves for that because he took on a bunch of guys who were disillusioned and they won the biggest prize of all.”

“They made some changes in the summer wanting to play a more attractive style of football and have sacrificed the workers for flair players. With the flair players I have read some things in the papers saying that Eden Hazard could be liability for Chelsea when they don’t have the ball. They say he doesn’t track back and that the very best teams will pick them off. But if he can keep playing the way that he played against Man Utd in the League Cup last week then Chelsea are going to win a lot of games. Not just him though Mata has also been a revelation.”
