Petr Cech has been at the top of his game ever since joining Chelsea in 2004 and is also ranked amongst the top goalkeepers in the world.
But even the very best are vulnerable to costly mistakes once in a while. An 88th minute lapse of judgment by Cech made way for Pederson’s equalizer, resulting in a 2-2 score line as Czech Republic played Norway.
This blunder could jeopardize his Chelsea role as Thibaut Courtois, who is currently on loan at Atletico Madrid, is said to compete against Cech for position between the sticks next season.
Blunders like these always do more damage than good. Too bad Cech is learning the hard way…
