Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao has admitted that a move away from Spain is a possibility, especially if the Spanish economy doesn't improve.

The Columbian ace, 26, who netted 36 goals in La Liga last season and bagged an impressive hat-trick against Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup, is currently one of the hottest players in the game, but admits his future in Spain could be coming to an end.

He told Spanish newspaper Marca: "I have a contract for more years. Now my reality is Atletico and I cannot think of anything else.

"I do not know what will happen in the future. The situation depends not only on the players and the management but also the economy of the clubs and even the country.

'The future was uncertain regarding the economic issue, but it was a great effort from the team and they kept almost the entire playing staff, which speaks volumes for how well Atletico are doing."

Falcao's words will have European Champions Chelsea on alert, as well as several other top clubs across Europe.
