Chelsea have started brilliantly this season and could just be on their way to the title.

The Blues have won their opening three games in the Premier League under Antonio Conte and look as though they already know what the Italian wants from them.

Stars like Eden Hazard and Diego Costa also seem back to their best after a shocking campaign last season and you have to say, with the Blues squad and no European football, they've got a real chance.

Conte must have been slightly worried he wouldn't have had time to shape his squad how he wanted to ready for the start of the season after he came into the job on the back of being with Italy at Euro 2016, but the arrivals of N'golo Kante and Michy Batshuayi have done well so far.

He may feel though, on the back of those apparent successful moves, more additions might just help them win the title back and these five from the Bundesliga might be able to lend a hand...

Jonathan Tah

With John Terry getting towards the end of his career the Blues need to be planning for life after their captain.

The club have Kurt Zouma coming through and he looks like he'll be a good player at the back for the club but it shouldn't end there.

Jonathan Tah, despite being only 20, has been a key part of the Bayer Leverkusen defence for some time, competing at both the sharp end of the Bundesliga and in the Champions League, showing he's already more than adept to play for Chelsea.

Branislav Ivanovic is not the right-back he once was and his new manager Antonio Conte must be looking at potential replacements for him.

In signing Rodriguez they wouldn't be getting a like for like replacement as he is a left-back but it would allow Cesar Azpilicueta to switch over onto the right - his stronger side.

Signing the Swiss international would give Chelsea's defence better balance and for a man like Conte that would be more than welcome.

Leon Goretzka

The Blues need a deep lying ball player, especially with Cesc Fabregas seemingly out of favour with Conte.

The two holding players N'golo Kante and Nemanja Matic are good at what they do - breaking up play - but can sometimes be left wanting when it comes to playing that key pass into the final third.

Goretzka would sort that straight away and at his young age he would only grow into the role too.

Max Meyer

Max Meyer (Schelke)

Meyer is a talented young attacking midfielder and would certainly give Oscar a run for his money in the Chelsea side.

Conte clearly fancies the Brazilian as his attacking midfielder but this shouldn't mean he can rest on his laurels thinking his place is untouchable.

Signing Meyer would be a masterstroke with his ability to run at defences and carry the ball, in many ways like Eden Hazard, whilst his age would ensure he's at the Bridge for the long haul.

Timo Horn

Past Thibaut Courtois Chelsea don't really have a quality back-up.

A few seasons ago they had the Belgian and Petr Cech to have the best goalkeeper partnership in the country but now it's far weaker and Conte needs to act to ensure his number one doesn't get complacent.

Timo Horn is one of a number of impressive German 'keepers trying to oust Manuel Neuer from the national team and is very good with his feet, as well as his obvious goalkeeping ability.
