Antonio Conte's resurgent Chelsea side have gone from being a midtable team drastically underachieving to a formidable side capable of winning the Premier League. The Italian manager has managed to mastermind a Blues' revival in west London, but for him to continue the progression made at the club, he must make significant changes to the current side. Selling some of their average squad players must be a priority for Conte, and where better to get rid of highly paid deadwood than the Chinese Super League?

The Far Eastern league has become a goldmine in recent years for players willing to accept enormous paycheques for the loss of playing regular competitive football, and Oscar has become another in a growing line to head away from Europe for the next step of his career, completing his move to Shanghai SIPG.

Indeed, China has become a retirement home for some footballers over the past decade, but more recently, players in their prime years who are unwanted at their European clubs have been targets by the wealthy Chinese owners.

Here are FIVE players Chelsea should sell to China once the transfer window re-opens...

John Obi Mikel

Nigerian midfielder John Obi Mikel has been at Stamford Bridge since 2006 and unlike many players who've played for the Blues, he doesn't have the cult hero status.

With many young central midfielders at the club already, Conte should consider selling Mikel to allow the likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Nathaniel Chalobah to develop further at the club.

A potential move would be ideal for all parties.

Many supporters may consider it foolish to sell John Terry, but with just six months remaining on his current Chelsea deal, he should be regarded as a sellable asset by the club.

With the Chinese Super League enjoying nothing more than a marquee signing, Terry's name will go a long way in Asia.

Terry could also receive one final enormous pay-day to end his illustrious career.

Branislav Ivanovic

Incredibly similar to John Terry, Serbian defender Branislav Ivanovic has become somewhat of a legendary figure at Stamford Bridge and has been a fundamental factor in the Blues' success over the past decade.

Nonetheless, Conte must hold no room for sentimentality and allow Ivanovic to leave in January with Chinese Super League teams likely to be queuing up for his signature.

Premier Leauge football looks a struggle for Ivanovic now, so playing in a slower paced league would be ideal for the defender.

Victor Moses

It may seem nuts to consider selling the club's surprise package, but in all honesty, how can Victor Moses continue playing at the highest level when he's struggled throughout his career for form?

The Nigerian winger turned right-wing back has been instrumental to the Blues' success in recent weeks, but Conte must look beyond Moses and sign a world-class defender capable of bringing the Blues to the next level.

In Moses, Chelsea could recoup a fee never previously imagined.
