Signing a striker is clearly Chelsea’s main priority this summer. Regardless of who else they bring in, if they fail to secure a proven centre-forward, then next season may follow a similar pattern to this.
Diego Costa would appear to be the best option for the club. A powerful fulcrum, who already plays in a counter-attacking side, the Brazil turned Spain international would immediately improve the Chelsea team. It may take up to £50m to secure the forward, but expect far fewer performances like the recent 1-0 win over Swansea if Chelsea can get their man.
