Incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte enjoyed a fine start to his time in charge of Italy at EURO 2016.

The Azzurri pulled off a shock defeat over the tournament’s highest rated team, Belgium, producing a fine defensive and counter attacking display to take all three points from Marc Wilmot’s side with a 2-0 victory. They then followed that with a narrow victory over Sweden, booking their spot in the last 16.

Chelsea fans will be thrilled with the results, as the display will be real indicator as to how the Italy boss will operate at Stamford Bridge after the EUROs - and if they can replicate that kind of performance the Blues are in for big things.

While Conte is famed for operating with three at the back, another stand out tactic the former Juventus man used was to go with two up front - something Chelsea have been unfamiliar with over the past decade, more often than not opting for only one striker.

If Chelsea are to replicate the Italians and go for a top two, which reports suggest they might, here are FOUR strikers that could fit the bill and become Diego Costa’s partner - as long as they can hold on to their Spanish superstar...

Christian Benteke

Benteke3

The big Belgian can feel hard done by if Liverpool were to let him go after only one season with the Merseyside club.

Despite his limited playing time he still managed 10 goals throughout the campaign and popped up with some vital strikes. Big, strong and great in the air, Benteke is a Chelsea-esque player.

Alvaro Morata

Morata

Having been given the responsibility of being Spain’s leading man this summer at EURO 2016, Morata is hoping he can produce the sort of form his country that he did in patches throughout the season with Juventus.

14 goals and nine assists was an impressive return, but the move is complicated the buy-back clause Real Madrid have in his contract.

Michy Batshuayi

The second Belgian on this list, Batshuayi had a mightily impressive season for Marseille as he scored a hatful of goals and threw himself into the gaze of Europe’s elite.

The 22-year-old is pacy and strong, and an excellent finisher with both feet, and has kept a move to the Bridge open having snubbed West Ham as be looks to move to ‘bigger club’.

Romelu Lukaku

Lukaku Man United

Signed, loaned, sold, signed? Lukaku could be set for a loop-the-loop in his career pathway as a move away from the struggling Toffees and back to his former club is allegedly on the cards for a whopping £65m.
