According to reports from The Independent this afternoon, QPR Director of Football Les Ferdinand has valued the club's top scorer Charlie Austin at £20million.

It's been a sensational debut Premier League campaign for the 25 year-old, bagging 17 goals in 30 appearances to become the second-top-scoring Englishman in the division after Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane.

With Rangers now relegated back to the Championship and facing a potential £58million fine for breaching Financial Fair Play regulations, as reported by The Independent, they're widely expected to cash in on the 6 foot 2 forward this summer.

TalkSPORT moot Liverpool, Southampton and Newcastle United as potential suitors of Austin's, who has worked his way up from the tenth layer of English football to the Premier League in the space of eight campaigns, whilst The Express linked him with a move to English champions Chelsea earlier this week.

And QPR Director Les Ferdinand has now revealed how much they'll likely sell the former Swindon Town and Burnley talisman for this summer.

"We would love to keep Charlie Austin at QPR,” he told Adrian Durham on Matchday Live. “When I was playing at this football club with Andy Sinton and Trevor Sinclair, if they had a good season, because of the size of the club, people are going to come in for them. It’s the same with Charlie.

"It’s up to us to try and keep the wolves from the door but you’re never going to stop them from knocking and coming in.

"What’s he worth? When you look at some of the players who have moved like Sergio Aguero, and I’m not putting him in their class because they’ve done it year-in and year-out, but someone scoring 17 goals in this division you’re looking at £15-20million at least.”
