Jose Mourinho has dropped the biggest hint yet that he could be preparing a sensational bid to bring Monaco striker Radamel Falcao to the Premier League this summer.

The Chelsea boss claimed he need a striker and that Falcao needed a team where he would be happy, meaning it could be a matter of time before the Columbian hit man is doing his thing in England.

But with Monaco having only just forked out £50million to sign him from Atletico Madrid last summer, it is likely they will be looking to recoup as much of that fee as possible if they do decide to offload him just 12 months later.

But Chelsea have a history of breaking the bank for world class strikers, only to see them struggle to score goals thereafter.

So would Falcao be another £50million flop for Chelsea? Well here’s their last one in action for the Blues…

And, if they do manage to tempt the striker to the Premier League, this is what they hope they’ll be paying for…

But they’ll know all about how good he is after this…
