Jurgen Klopp one of the most sought after managers in European football has confirmed he will be staying at Borussia Dortmund for the next 3 years.
Klopp has achieved back to back Bundesliga titles with Borussia Dortmund and is looking to stay with the club until his contract runs out in 2016. Despite being heavily linked to Chelsea and Real Madrid, the Dortmund boss is set on staying with the German reigning champions.
“I have a contract until 2016, I have said 20 times I’ll definitely stay until 2016. Everybody thinks I say it but that if a club like Chelsea or Real Madrid come in for me, I will go, this is something I can’t change but they will see,” Klopp said.
“I enjoy what I’m doing here at Dortmund. It’s a great club, a great city, everything is OK. It’s not about the money for me. I have enough to eat three times a day. It’s a big honour, but in this moment I’m not on the market, I’m sorry.”
Micheal Zork, director of sport for Borussia has promised that his club will not negotiate with Chelsea either and said “it is not worth in Chelsea ringing us”.
As the Blues search for their 10th manager in ten years, it is thought they targeted Klopp after Pep Guardiola decided to join Bayern Munich in the summer.
