Atletico Madrid forward Radamel Falcao

If Jose Mourinho is appointed the next Chelsea boss he will demand more than £200million worth of transfers to get the Blues back to the top of the English game, according to the Daily Star.

Mourinho himself will cost the West London club more than £10million to buy him out of his current Real Madrid contract but an impressive wish list is already in progress to build a new look squad at Stamford Bridge to compete for the Premier League title and European honours.

Owner Roman Abramovich is close to sealing a £22million signing in the shape of Bayer Leverkusen attacker Andre Schurrle.

Mourinho wants to add the £50million rated Radamel Falcao to his Blues squad this summer as well as Zenit St Petersburg striker Hulk who cost the Russian club over £30million this time last year.

The former Porto boss also wants to bring at least three players with him from the Spanish capital, with Fabio Coentrao, Sami Khedira and Xabi Alonso in his sights taking the overall spending this summer to over £200million.
