Paris Saint-Germain are targeting a summer move for Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic, according to reports from talkSPORT.

The Parisians have been linked with a host of Blues stars in recent weeks, with Eden Hazard and Oscar rumoured to be attracting attention despite their suggested combined valuation of around £90m.

Now PSG are also eyeing one of the Londoners’ defensive talents in the shape of Ivanovic, who has been impressive for the club for some time.

Chelsea are understood to have already offered the Serbian star a contract extension, but that has not deterred the Ligue 1 champions, who have the financial muscle to out-punch Roman Abramovich and lure the man with two seasons remaining on his deal away.

A £12m offer is being mooted, with Laurent Blanc attracted to the Eastern European’s rugged playing style and ability to fill in at centre-back or on the right side of the backline.

Jose Mourinho is unlikely to entertain the notion of selling Ivanovic – who has featured 33 times in the Premier League this term – yet he may be powerless to keep him if he pushes for a switch to Paris.
