The Blues are set to bring Thibaut Courtois back from his extended loan spell at Atletico Madrid, with the Belgian World Cup star having been impressive in La Liga for some time.
Speculation about his future has been rife in recent weeks, but his international coach, Marc Wilmots, says that the youngster will be in west London next term at the expense of Cech:
“Yes, he [Courtois] will be returning to Chelsea this summer. Will they sell Cech? Yes, probably.”
This has alerted PSG, who have a long-standing interest in the 32-year-old stopper.
Cech – who starred in France for Rennes before joining Chelsea some 10 years ago – is seen as an ideal addition by the Parisians, who are intent on becoming one of football’s global superpowers.
The Czech Republic international is considered to be settled at his current club, but playing a back-up role to Courtois at this stage of his career could make a switch to the Ligue 1 champions appealing.
