Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc has quashed talk that his side will launch a move for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard this summer.
The Ligue 1 heavyweights have been strongly linked with the Belgian World Cup star of late, with rumours indicating that an offer is on the cards.
Thanks to their Qatari backing PSG are one of the very richest club sides on the planet, which has prompted talk that they will bid as high as £50m to nab the versatile forward from Jose Mourinho.
But with some initial enquiries having been made, Blanc has revealed that the Parisians will not be making a move:
“Eden Hazard? He is a top player.” He is quoted by The Express.
“But what is certain is that Chelsea wants to keep him.”
Despite Hazard having been Chelsea’s top performer last term, rumours have indicated that he could be sold after a falling out with Mourinho.
The player himself was critical of the Blues’ tactics after their Champions League elimination, which was met by ‘The Special One’ questioning his star’s work-rate and desire.
PSG have since been circling, but it appears that Hazard will be staying in London.
