According to Sky Sports News, in the wake of Frank Lampard’s bosman departure, Diego Costa could soon find himself joined at Stamford Bridge by partner-in-crime Koke.

No doubt, the 22 year-old is a fine talent – he’s already been dubbed as Xavi’s successor in the Spanish national team by the Barcelona legend himself.

Chelsea’s interest comes off the back of a sensational season where the attacking midfielder has set La Liga ablaze, contributing a vital five goals and 13 assists to Atletico’s Spanish title – only Angel Di Maria has provided more set-ups in the Spanish top flight this season.

Representing an impressive combination of work-rate, vision, quality on the ball and versatility – Diego Simeone has used the Spain international in seven different midfield capacities this season – Koke has a lot to offer the Chelsea midfield.

But the Mattress Makers bumped up his release clause to an eye-watering €60million in January, and after claiming the La Liga crown, Koke may not even want to leave the Spanish capital this summer.
