Southampton‘s Luke Shaw has set his heart on a big move to Chelsea, according to reports from The Express.

The Saints starlet has been, arguably, the Premier League’s finest young talent over the course of the last year, establishing himself as a first-team regular despite being just 18-years-of-age.

A number of top sides, including Manchester United and Liverpool, are rumoured to be keen on his signature, but Chelsea is the player’s preferred choice.

Shaw is a self-confessed Blues fan, and is believed to have told close friends that he would like to join the London outfit in the not too distant future.

A switch this month is unlikely, but a summer move could get the go ahead, with Jose Mourinho on the lookout for a successor to Ashley Cole.

The teenage ace is likely to reject interest from other clubs, which could allow ‘The Special One’ to get his man.

Shaw is said to be set for talks about the future of Southampton, who are currently in a state of turmoil.

The Hampshire side lost influential chairman Nicola Cortese earlier in the week, which could also result in manager Mauricio Pochettino walking out.
