Real Sociedad have denied claims that they are in contact with Chelsea over winger Antoine Griezmann.
The Blues have been heavily linked with the French ace over the course of the past few days following news that Juan Mata is set to join Manchester United.
Despite having not played the midfielder regularly this term, Jose Mourinho is keen to draft in a replacement for him, with Griezmann rumoured to be one of his favoured options.
However, an unnamed source at the La Liga club has scrapped rumours that they are discussing a deal with the Londoners:
“We do not know anything about the possible interest of Chelsea in our forward Antoine Griezmann.” The source is quoted as saying by talkSPORT
“We have not received any offers and no-one from London has asked us about the issue. We are calm in that sense.”
The 22-year-old wide-man is also said to be on the radar of United, but a swoop from the Red Devils now appears unlikely to happen before the close of the current window.
Griezmann has already netted 15 goals this term and has a £25m release clause in his contract.
