Napoli forward Jose Callejon has revealed that Jose Mourinho wants to bring him to Chelsea this summer.
The Blues have been linked with the versatile Spaniard in recent months, with Jose Mourinho known to have made bolstering his attack a priority ahead of 2014/15.
Callejon worked under ‘The Special One’ while at Real Madrid, and was a favourite of the Portuguese coach, even though he was by no means a star man at the Bernabeu, due to his work rate and enthusiasm.
Both went their own ways in 2013, with the forward switching to Italy to play in Naples.
Although he has only been at the San Paolo for one season, the 27-year-old has revealed that he could well leave in the coming months with Chelsea’s rumoured interest genuine:
“I have heard many things about me,” he is quoted by the Daily Star.
“I know that Mourinho wants to hire me.”
However, Mourinho has recently revealed that he’s not panning any more signings after sealing deals for Cesc Fabregas and Atletico Madrid pair Filipe Luis and Diego Costa for around £70m.
