Chelsea cruised, in truth, to their 3-1 win over Sporting. Here are THREE talking points to take from the game at Stamford Bridge:

Schurrle makes case for regular place

Andre Schurrle played like a man with a point to prove against Sporting, and boy did he achieve it. The German's goal topped off an excellent display in which his work without the ball was as impressive as what he did with it.

Luis at fault again

Filipe Luis let his opposite number breeze past him for Sporting to make it 2-1, and it wasn't for the first time in the game either. Mourinho is unlikely to trust the Brazilian for much longer and Luis may now see his game-time limited. The ball floated in from the right in the below vine is the result of weak defending from the Brazilian:

Costa out of form?

Diego Costa has now gone three games without scoring. While this by no means a drought it is in relative terms when compared to the Brazilian's early season form. Mourinho won't be panicking yet but other teams must surely take hope from this fact.
