Chelsea captain John Terry believes that securing the Premier League title this season will be “tough”, despite their 1-0 win at Swansea.

The Blues responded to Liverpool’s thrilling victory against third placed Manchester City with a hard-fought triumph in South Wales to close the gap between themselves and the Merseysiders back to two points with four games to go.

Much of the attention in the title race has been focused on the other two sides involved, but Chelsea are firmly in the fight and know that if they win at Anfield in weeks’ time they can move ahead of Brendan Rodgers’ men.

But they will also be dependent on Manchester City dropping points, with the Sky Blues possessing two games in hand, as the season enters its hectic climax.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the Swansea game, Terry said that the pressure is on the other two teams involved, but that to bring the Premier League trophy back to Stamford Bridge will be a difficult task:

"It's very tough, it's very important we keep winning our games, but it's out of our hands at the moment.

"We need City to lose or draw a game and we've still got to go to Anfield, so it's a massive end to the season for everyone.

"Looking at the result [at Anfield], it's probably the one we wanted really, even though Liverpool are flying.

"But the manager said before the game that, regardless of that result, if we don't win our games, it makes it very easy for them. We won our game and the pressure is still on the teams above and below us."
