Well nobody so that one coming, did they? While Chelsea may have had nothing to play for against West Brom on Monday evening having already wrapped up the Premier League title and all, the way in which the Baggies completely outplayed the Blues was still highly impressive, and bodes well for Tony Pulis's side for next season. But what else did we learn from the game?1. Chelsea need another strikerAlthough the signing of Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid in the summer was meant to have solved Chelsea's attacking deficiencies which were so painfully apparent last season - and to large extent, it has -  the Blues would still be wise to strengthen their strikeforce again before the next campaign. It was a minor miracle that Costa did not get sent off against West Brom - indeed, he has towed a very fine line numerous times throughout the season - and his injury troubles means that he cannot be depended upon to play every game for the London club. The Spain international had a torrid time at the Hawthorns on Monday, and Mourinho may very well have taken note of this despite the irrelevance of the result.

2. Berahino will be the hottest of properties in the summer

West Brom fans could have been forgiven for treating the sight of Saido Berahino beating the world-class Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois not once but twice as something of a bittersweet moment. This fine result is one that Baggies fans will savour for a long time, but they are also aware that with every standout performance from their talismanic striker, the more likely it is that he will leave in the summer.

3. Tony Pulis is the right man for the job at the Hawthorns

Manager of the Year at Crystal Palace last season, and the man who has comfortably guided West Brom to safety in this one - love or loathe his style of football, Tony Pulis knows how to make a side an established fixture in the English top flight. What seemed like a risky decision to sack Alan Irvine mid-season has proved in retrospect to be a masterstroke by the club's hierarchy, and with sufficient transfer funds, the Midlands outfit can hope to aim higher next season under their wily Welshman.
