A gripping debate in English football over the past few years has been who is the better goalkeeper, Chelsea's Thibaut Courtois or Manchester United's David De Gea.

Both formerly of Atletico Madrid, the pair are rated as two of the finest young goalkeepers in world football and Courtois already boasts a Premier League title, although De Gea's performances in recent years have seen many rate him as better.

A matter of opinion for many, Courtois has himself had his stay on the goalkeeper- telling Belgian TV what the Spaniard is better than him at.

This season, De Gea has been a stand-out star in what has been an extremely difficult season for Manchester United, whilst Courtois has excelled in recent weeks after keeping consecutive clean-sheets to push Chelsea to second in the standings.

Come the end of the season, we may have a better idea which of these two players is better.
