Crystal Palace are looking to sign Blackburn defender Scott Dann this month.
Tony Pulis wants to pull off the £3million move for the defender, and is prepared to do it in a strange manner.
The Palace boss will make his bid for Dann, and in an attempt to sweeten the deal, offer to take struggling striker Leon Best away from Ewood Park. That’s according to the Mirror, who claim Palace will take Best on loan, and pay his high wages, in an attempt to help the Rovers out.
Pulis is looking to strengthen his new side’s defence in his bid to keep them in the Premier League, and wants Dann to return to the top flight since getting relegated with Blackburn in 2012.
The defender missed Blackburn’s FA Cup defeat at Manchester City, but could return to the side for their Championship fixture against Nottingham Forest, although Pulis wants a deal to be done before then.
Leon Best joined Blackburn for £3million in 2012, and has scored just 2 goals in his time at Ewood Park, where he has publically fallen out with manager Gary Bowyer as well as the Rovers supporters. The club are desperate to offload the forward, and Pulis’ offer to take him off their hands could tempt the Rovers boss to sell Dann.
