Everton are currently looking at Napoli's Lorenzo Insigne to aid the club's attacking line before the upcoming summer transfer window opens, Forza Italian Football reports.

The 22-year-old hasn't been on his best scoring form this season, notching only two goals in 26 Serie A appearances and looks to want a move away from his home town club of Napoli, with Serie A team Fiorentina also declaring their interest in him.

Apart from Fiorentina, an interest from Premier League side Everton is also being shown as they wish to acquire the Italian's signature during the upcoming window, however an official statement from the club regarding their level of interest in the young forward has yet to be released.

Insigne is currently being deployed on the wings at current club Napoli and has been providing a few key assists for his teammates, despite his failure to find the net as he is still being considered a regular feature in Rafa Benitez's team selection.

The Italian is also set to be an integral part of the 'Azzurri' in the World Cup this summer.

With Toffees boss Roberto Martinez recently announcing his desire to play in Europe, monitoring the likes of Insigne may be just the first step in rebuilding a stronger squad.
