Everton starlet Gerard Deulofeu insists he is not thinking about where he will play his football next season, despite Roberto Martinez claiming he wants to extend his loan spell at Goodison Park, reports talkSPORT.
The 19-year-old arrived at Goodison Park in the summer on a season-long loan from Spanish giants Barcelona.
The Toffees were adamant they were signing a young player with an outstanding reputation, and he further enhanced that on Sunday when scoring a sublime equaliser against league leaders Arsenal.
Martinez has been so impressed with his fellow countryman’s performances that he has insisted he will do all he can to keep Deulofeu beyond the end of the season.
However, the Spaniard insists he has not given a thought as to where his future may lie, claiming he is focused on enjoying the rest of this season in England.
“Barca? I do not know, I am just thinking about this season, and what will come will come. I am happy at Everton,” he told Spanish radio station RAC1.
“Now I am here for a year and after I am a player of Barcelona. I want to enjoy this experience.”
The youngster has been one of the Toffees’ standout players in recent weeks, impressing in the draws with Liverpool and Arsenal and the victories over Stoke City and Manchester United.
