David Moyes has warned that Everton’s star midfielder Marouane Fellaini will not leave Goodison Park for cheap, as a number of top European clubs monitor the Belgian’s incredible form.

It is rumoured that Chelsea and French big-spenders PSG are leading the race to sign Fellaini, but other clubs from the Premier League, La Liga and Serie A have shown an interest in the floppy-haired midfielder.

Fellaini reportedly rejected offers from Manchester United, Tottenham and Real Madrid when signing for Everton in 2008, and it appears his successful seasons at Everton have rekindled curiosity in the 24-year-old.

A move to Stamford Bridge would see the Evertonian join up with international team-mate Eden Hazard, as well as loaned-out youngsters Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku, with Belgium’s golden generation increasing their influence over the English top flight.

The lanky Belgian, measured at 6 foot 4, would certainly fit the bill at Chelsea, adding some much needed height to Roberto Di Matteo’s midfield, with John Obi Mikel and Frank Lampard being the only midfielders in the squad who are 6 foot or above.

The Belgian has also proved himself to be incredibly versatile, playing in defensive and attacking midfield roles, as well as filling in as an emergency striker during his time at Everton.

This season, Fellaini has contributed six goals in ten Premier League appearances to the Toffees' cause, often playing behind front-man Nikica Jelavic.

Toffees boss David Moyes has warned however that the 2008 young player of the year’s signature will come at a large fee.

“They know where Felli is, they know where to come and watch him - they know as well that it will be a big price if they are interested," said the Scottish coach following Everton’s 2-1 comeback at home to Sunderland on Saturday.

Fellaini scored the equalising goal with a low drive into the bottom corner of Simon Mignolet’s net from just inside the box after 76 minutes.

A January sale for the Belgium midfielder may be out of the question however, considering Moyes has made his ambitions for Champions League qualification well known this season.

Fellaini’s transfer fee of £15million  following his move from Standard Liege in 2008 is a club record for Everton, and it is believed the Merseyside club will want to at least double their money should they allow their talisman midfielder to leave.
