Copenhagen striker Andreas Cornelius

Everton boss David Moyes may make a summer move for FC Copenhagen striker Andreas Cornelius, according to the Mirror.

The target man is expected to be a hot property in the summer after a great season in Denmark brought him to the attention of a whole host of interested clubs.

The 20-year-old looks to be tailor made for the English game and he has already made his debut at senior level for Denmark so a fee of around £5m could turn out to be a bargain.

The striker has scored 18 goals in 30 matches for FC Copenhagen and has one goal in four matches for Denmark.

Everton will be looking to add striker help take some of the pressure off Nikica Jelavic and Victor Anichebi.  Everton also face the possibility of losing their top goalscorer, Marouane Fellaini, to one of the Premier League’s big spending clubs.

Everton’s small hopes of a Champions League spot seem to have faded after the club’s loss to Sunderland this week.  The small squad could use some new faces this summer, but much will depend on Moyes himself.

Moyes is to meet with owner Bill Kenwright in the near future to discuss the summer transfer budget and his own future at the club.
