Everton are enjoying a superb start to the 16/17 Premier League season.

Ronald Koeman's arrival in the summer has already proved to be something of a masterstroke after the club decided Roberto Martinez was not the man to take them forward.

Koeman's Toffees have lost just one of their opening eight Premier League outings this season and have conceded just six goals - the second best defensive record in the division so far.

The impact of the former Southampton boss has been impressive and Everton are suddenly a force once more.

The likes of Romelu Lukaku, Seamus Coleman and Gareth Barry have been crucial to Everton's start, but who are the players you should be considering for your Fantasy Premier League team?

This week we reveal the five Everton players who represent the best value for the money in the game, analysing average points per million spent.

Everton's top five most cost effective players is surprising, as Lukaku doesn't top the list despite his goal scoring antics at  the start of this campaign...

5. Seamus Coleman - 4.2 points per £m

Seamus Coleman

Coleman may have only played five games this season, but he is already representing good value for money with FPL players.

He costs just £5.5m, which is reasonable for a defender, but his one goal, one clean sheet and four bonus points means he returns FPL players 4.2 points per million spent on him.

He is only selected by 4.9% of FPL teams at the moment so he's certainly worth considering this week, especially with Burnley (A) and West Ham (H) as Everton's next two fixtures.

4. Romelu Lukaku - 5.3 points per £m

Romelu Lukaku

It may come as a surprise to many that Lukaku doesn't represent a better return on investment so far this season.

The striker has scored six goals, assisted one and earned 10 bonus points, yet his value of £9.5m means he only averages 5.3 points per million spent.

That's still a good return, but there may be better value for money strikers elsewhere.

3. Gareth Barry - 5.7 points per £m

Gareth Barry

Gareth Barry is still going strong in the Premier League and he should be at the forefront of FPL players' minds so far this season.

The veteran midfielder has chipped in with two goals, two clean sheets and three bonus points to rack up a points total of 27 points after just eight games.

He's a snip at just £4.7m, which means he averages 5.7 points per million spent on him.

Can't imagine there are more bargains in the game right now.

2. Phil Jagielka - 5.9 points per £m

The experienced centre-half has developed an impressive partnership with summer signing Ashley Williams but he is averaging a far better points total than his teammate.

The England international has one assist, two clean sheets and three bonus points to his name and, given his value of just £5.1m, he's averaging an impressive 5.9 points per million spent on him.

That's good value for money in defence.

1. Maarten Stekelenburg - 7.3 points per £m

Maarten Stekelenburg

The Dutch glovesman was Everton's hero last week after saving two penalties in the 1-1 draw against Manchester City.

His total points for last week's performance was a huge 17, which has undoubtedly boosted his averages ahead of this week.

However, he is a cheap option between the sticks at just £5.1m, which means he returns an impressive average of 7.3 points per million spent on him.

Everton play Burnley away and West Ham at home over the next two game weeks, so he's definitely a goalkeeper FPL players should be looking to bring in if they haven't already.
