It's an exciting time to be an Everton fan at the moment.

This Summer has seen an abundance of changes in both playing and coaching staff at the club and it's all being backed by the new owners that have come in. For so long Toffees fans have been waiting to see their club being able to compete with some of the biggest spenders in the league and it looks as though those days are closer than ever.

Players like Ashley Williams, Yannick Bolasie, Maarten Stekelenburg and Idrissa Gueye have all joined the side but the spending under new boss Ronald Koeman doesn't look like it will be stopping any time soon.

The latest rumour is that Valencia defender Aymen Abdennour could be on his way to Merseyside as they look to strengthen in that area after John Stones left.

It's not just the Tunisian they are linked with though, we've been looking through the rumours here at FootballFanCast and here are FIVE more currently doing the rounds...

Rachid Ghezzal

Ghezzal is a player who is versatile in where he plays up front. He is best used out wide and this is evidently somewhere Ronald Koeman is looking to bolster following the signing of Bolasie.

He's 24-years-old and could prove to be an astute signing.

Jefferson Montero

The left sided player is entering his prime at the age of 26 and fits Koeman's evident strategy of getting pacey wide-men into the club.

Everton are bound to be worried about Romelu Lukaku leaving right up until the end of the transfer window.

The powerful Belgian has been linked with a return to Chelsea for some time and if a move does happen the Toffees look short up top. A move for Kalinic could be set to happen then, the Croatian has Premier League experience from his days at Blackburn and scored twelve goals for Fiorentina last season.

Marcelo Brozovic

Another Croatian and another winger linked with a move to Merseyside. Reportedly both the Toffees and Stoke City are interested in securing the the Inter Milan man's services and with his current club sacking Roberto Mancini in pre-season, he might be weighing up his options.

He is 23-years-old and would hope to be part of Koeman's plans for years to come if he moved.

Joe Hart

Joe Hart

Everton have Maarten Stekelenburg but if they want good competition for places this is the man they need to sign.

Hart seems to have been frozen out at Manchester City by Pep Guardiola and so it's surely a matter of time before he moves - he's certainly good enough to go elsewhere.
