A move for City’s Joleon Lescott could be a controversial one, but given Everton’s limited defensive options possibly a prudent one as well. The 31 year old is an extremely experienced centre half, and has become a useful squad player at the Etihad in the last few seasons. With his contract up for negotiation this summer, the door could be open for the Englishman to nail down a first team place at one of the countries other top clubs. He made his reputation as a goal scoring centre half at Everton with 14 league goals over 3 seasons, something that the club could do with going forward. Will fans be able to forgive his protracted departure from the club back in 2009 though?
