Manchester United’s title defence is all-but over already, Manchester City are averaging four goals per game at the Etihad, Arsenal are topping the English table and both Merseyside outfits have more of a chance of qualifying for the Champions League than Tottenham do, despite spending £110million in the summer. Who would have guessed that before the first ball of the season was kicked?
It’s been exciting, glamorous, unpredictable and intoxicating in it’s extremity, but it wouldn’t mean anything if we took nothing to learn from it.
