Two iconic clubs are set to do battle this weekend, with Manchester United hosting West Ham.

The pair's recent runs of form have boarded shambolic, and both managers will be keen to end their miserable streaks with a win.

Jose Mourinho has been the recipient of criticism due to the Red Devils' abysmal run of late - Man United currently sit in 6th position but are an incredible nine points off the summit of the Premier League. Realistically, they need to beat the Hammers at Old Trafford once again to try and revive a title challenge that has been forgotten about since a defeat to Manchester City in the derby.

The Hammers are suffering this campaign also, but a victory at the Theatre of Dreams may finally kick-start the Irons' season, which is looking more like a relegation battling one than one in which they'll fight for European qualification.

Ahead of this gigantic clash, here are FIVE statistics to whet the appetites of supporters.

A long time ago, Old Trafford was a fortress for Manchester United and the backbone of their success.

However, this season, United have recorded just two victories at home - wins over Southampton in August and Leicester in September have remained the Red Devils' only success on their own patch.

Mourinho has recorded embarrassing home draws with Arsenal along with Burnley since the defeat to Manchester City in September. 'The Special One' must record a special result this weekend.

West Ham recorded just one away victory

The Hammers fans can only feel disappointment following their dreadful start to the campaign.

After last season's over-achievements, many expected the Irons to kick on and challenge for the Europa League places.

Now, the Hammers travel to Old Trafford hoping to record just their second away victory all season. Historically, this is not a ground that favours them either.

Ibrahimovic's summer arrival looked like the best signing of the season after his impressive displays in August. Zlatan's goals had catapulted United into contention for the Premier League title before a drought occurred ahead of the Manchester Derby.

Since the defeat, Zlatan has failed to record a home goal. Against the Hammers, the Swede will be keen to finally end the wait and secure three points for the Red Devils.

Nine years since Hammers last Old Trafford victory

Carlos Tevez - West Ham

Cast your minds back nine years to 2007, and to a wonderful time that witnessed Carlos Tevez playing for the claret and blue outfit.

The Argentine was instrumental in the Irons' success in avoiding relegation, but the club was faced with the arduous task of defeating United at Old Trafford.

Only a victory was good enough for the Hammers, and Tevez's winner secured survival for the Hammers. Since then, the east Londoners have not beaten United on their home turf.

No West Ham forward has scored a league goal

Simone Zaza

This summer, West Ham went on the march to ensure their seventh-placed finish could be recreated this campaign by spending a fortune on attacking options.

Despite this, Bilic's new signings are yet scored a league goal this season with his attacking trio of Andre Ayew, Simone Zaza, and Ashley Fletcher still firing blanks.

This Sunday's vital clash may be the perfect time for one of Bilic's new trio to score their first Premier League goal.
