Known for his silky skills and quick feet, Atletico Madrid winger Antoine Griezmann showed that he has power to go with his panache in an international friendly between France and Spain last night.

Going for goal, the French international unleashed a howitzer of a shot on the edge of the area which was met by the head of the unfortunate Sergio Busquets, who felt the full force of the strike.

Though he has a reputation for play-acting, it soon became obvious that the Barca man’s predicament was genuine as he lay crumpled on the floor, completely knocked out by Griezmann’s cannonball effort.

Indeed, Busquets’ evening came to an early conclusion as a consequence, being substituted in the early stages of the second half as Spain went on to lose to their Gallic neighbours 1-0 courtesy of a Loic Remy goal.

Griezmann – once linked with moves to Premier League sides Liverpool and Chelsea – will be relishing Atletico’s next clash against Barcelona, while Busquets would be wise to stay well clear of any shot from the Frenchman’s thunderous left boot.
