Inter Milan are interested in signing Chelsea’s Fernando Torres and Manchester City’s Edin Dzeko this summer, according to the Guardian.
The Italian giants have also set their sights on Real Madrid forward and Arsenal target Alvaro Morata.
Inter are set for a major summer rebuilding programme under new owner Erick Thohir, and the Indonesian businessman has revealed a top striker is a prioritu.
“We will sign a striker in the summer and he will be of European standard,” Thohir said.
“We have a lot of candidates in our list. We have to sign a striker and reports point to Dzeko, [the Real Madrid forward Álvaro] Morata and Torres, and it would be great if one of them was to join us.”
Dzeko is under contract at Manchester City until 2015, and has attracted interest from a number of European sides by scoring 41 goals in 93 league appearances for City over the course of his Premier League career.
Torres meanwhile has been on the periphery of things under Jose Mourinho at Chelsea this season, and whilst Mourinho insists the Spaniard has a future at Stamford Bridge, he is widely expected to leave in the summer.
Morata meanwhile has gone on to enjoy more first team opportunities under Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid during the second half of the season, scoring six times in 18 league appearances.
