Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has admitted that he could reject Premier League interest to move to Paris Saint-Germain.
A poor start to the season, coupled with dressing room unrest, has seen ‘The Special One’ come under increased pressure of late, with some suggesting he could leave the Bernabeu at the end of the current campaign.
Despite interest from England, mega rich PSG have reportedly entered the race, and Mourinho has declared that he would be open to taking control at the Parc des Princes:
“It’s a possibility but I do not know when. I can not say when. Why not!” He is quoted by the Daily Mail via Canal+.
PSG, who are bankrolled by the Qatar Investment Authority, have become one of the richest clubs in world football, making make them a tempting option for Mourinho.
Having won titles in Portugal, England, Spain and Italy, the prospect of adding the French league winner’s medal to his personal collection may be one which could sway the Real coach’s thoughts.
He would likely have vast sums of cash to spend, with the club having lured Zlatan Ibrahimovich and Thiago Silva to Ligue 1 from AC Milan, paying in excess of £50m to do so.
PSG have also been linked with Cristiano Ronaldo, a player Mourinho may be able to persuade to follow him to the French capital.
