Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has claimed that he and Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho are similar, in that they "have the same kind of angriness".

The two coaches will go head to head for the second time this season when Liverpool travel to Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

The Merseyside outfit are better placed in the Premier League table, as they reside second, five points above sixth-positioned United.

However, Mourinho's men head into the clash in better form having won their last nine games in all competitions, while Liverpool are searching for their first triumph in three.

During his pre-match press conference, Klopp spoke about Mourinho, claiming that the pair both have passion on the touchline.

The Portuguese boss has got in trouble for his anger this season, though, having served two touchline bans for his behaviour towards referees.

The Mirror quotes Klopp as saying:

"He was always [competitive]. He is top level but it isn’t new - we shouldn’t be surprised. We have the same kind of angriness. We go out there for a result, no other reason. Last year, I had the first time to play at Old Trafford. It was intense with a great atmosphere."
