Leicester City are gearing up for their Champions League campaign this week, madness isn't it?

The Foxes, who famously sealed the Premier League title last season, go into a group consisting of Club Brugge, FC Copenhagen and FC Porto which, on the face of it, looks relatively escapable.

How the club fare over the coming fixtures remains to be seen as many of their squad have no experience at this level but what will comfort them is that they hardly had title-winning experience and look how that ended.

They also have the unknown quantity tag around the continent of last year. It looks as though in the Premier League teams are starting to find them out but in Europe many of the clubs will still be working on that. If the Foxes can replicate their performances from last year then who knows where they could end up.

It's going to be intriguing for both fans and neutrals alike watching them navigate Europe this season then, and we think if they go with this line-up they could get off to the perfect start against Club Brugge...

Kasper Schmeichel

Schmeichel will be hoping he can emulate his dad once again and win the Champions League but will have to put in some heroic performances to do so.

The right-back had a bit of a torrid time against Liverpool on Saturday and the Foxes will be hoping he's back to where he was last season against the Belgian side.

Robert Huth

Huth's game won't differ no matter who he comes up against and that should at least stop Brugge. How he does against better sides remains to be seen.

Wes Morgan

For Huth, now read Morgan. The captain will have to be switched on for the whole game to ensure his side get a result.

Christian Fuchs

Christian Fuchs 2

If Fuchs can get his delivery from the left-back area right, Leicester should be okay. He needs to be solid going backwards too though.

Riyad Mahrez

This is where the Algerian either falls or flies. Leicester did well to keep him on the back of last season but if he can't perform in Europe for them now it could be a case of one hit wonder.

Danny Drinkwater

Drinkwater could be key in Leicester's challenge this year. The central midfielder needs his passing to be pinpoint in laying on chances and he needs to make sure he makes the centre of the pitch his own.

Andy King

Andy King

Daniel Amartey started ahead of King on Saturday but didn't really offer much so the Welshman may come in. The squad needs to be rotated as much as possible too so this switch wouldn't be a surprise.

Marc Albrighton

Marc Albrighton

Albrighton needs to use his pace to scare the Brugge defence early and help impose the Foxes game plan. He needs to be at his best crossing too because the Foxes may not get the chances they're used too, especially later in the tournament should they make it.

Jamie Vardy

Jamie Vardy

The latest chapter in the Jamie Vardy story and it wouldn't be at all surprising if he bagged a hat-trick. Two Premier League goals to his name already this season suggests he at least has carried on from last year.

Ahmed Musa

Shinji Okazaki got the nod at the weekend but was pulled at half-time to be replaced by Musa so it wouldn't be a shock to see the new signing start the game.
