Daily Mail.

The 19-year-old is thought of as one of the very best young players in Argentina, and has been tipped to make a big move away from his homeland in the near future.

City and Liverpool have been tracking the teenager for the past year and are now ready to make serious move for his signature after being impressed by the youngster.

But, a number of top clubs from across the continent are also interested in Vietto.

Both Real Madrid and Juventus are monitoring the skilful Argentina U-20 international and could rival any serious offers from the English duo.

Racing Club poached Vietto from domestic rivals Estudiantes before he made a single appearance for the club.

He was handed his debut by now Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone and has gone on to become one of the club’s top stars

His agent, Jorge Cyterszpiler, says that interest in his client is high:

“Vietto is the best young player in Argentina. I have received many offers from several European clubs.”

Should Manchester City and Liverpool move for Luciano Vietto?

I am not really sure of what to think about this player. This report is the first time I have even heard of him. No problem with his manager talking him up, to be expected, but that is quite a statement to make. Does he have enough to back it up? Time will tell…
