Steven Gerrard may be one of the best English players of the generation, but he tends to have the habit of assisting his opponents.
Back in 2011 Gerrard sent a back-pass towards goalkeeper Pepe Reina, only for it to be intercepted and scored by Didier Drogba… resulting in Chelsea winning the title to Man United’s expense.
And only last year, the 34-year-old infamously slipped, allowing another Blues striker in Demba to take advantage and end Liverpool’s title ambitions.
Now, albeit only a friendly (which the Reds went on to win in a shoot-out), Gerrard managed to miss-kick a clearance into the path of Manchester City ace Stevan Jovetic for the game’s first goal.
Bad Luck Brian… is that you?
