Football kits. Some of the most iconic moments in football are associated with the shirts being won by the 10 outfield players. Brazil’s yellow, the purple of Fiorentina, Celtic’s green and white hoops… we could go on and list many, many more. However, with colours often clashing with those of rival teams, the away kit is always needed.
Some teams get it right, with the use of alternative shades and patterns opening up the possibility of creating some stylish designs… however, many more get it wrong!
Through the history of English football there have been some truly woeful alternative outfield strips, and this list takes in the 50 worst we’ve seen! Sit back, prepare to cover your eyes in horror and hope that the often vivid colours don’t cause your computer’s screen to melt.
