Liverpool have been the Premier League's biggest spenders this summer, with the all-but-confirmed signing of Alberto Moreno taking their collective spending to over £100million.
Of course, the vast majority of that is offset by Luis Suarez' £75million departure to Barcelona, but having now made seven first team signings, the Anfield roster is becoming a bit inflated.
There's money tied up in certain departments that would be better off in Brendan Rodgers' pocket (not his literal pocket of course), and thus, it would be unsurprising if the Reds spent the last two weeks of the transfer window offloading some talent.
With that in mind, here's a list of FIVE players the Mersey outfit could be tempted into selling before deadline day.

GLEN JOHNSON
Brendan Rodgers remains reluctant to sell Glen Johnson as the only senior right-back in the Liverpool squad.
But the 29 year-old is yet to agree new terms after contract talks were put on hold at the end of May, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season. Allegedly, Liverpool had planned a one-year extension, but Johnson wants an improved deal.
With highly-rated youngster Jon Flanagan waiting in the wings and 20 year-old Javier Manquillo arriving from Atletico Madrid on a two-term loan, if the right offer comes along this summmer, the Reds will have little option but to sell the England international.

DANIEL AGGER
Suddenly Liverpool find themselves privy to an enormous array of centre-backs - seven to be precise, which is obviously far too many.
And it appears the likeliest to leave this summer is 232-game servant Daniel Agger. Despite having YNWA inked across his knuckles and currently serving as vice-captain, the Danish defender plummeted down the pecking order last year and is aware he's no longer Brendan Rodgers' first choice at centre-half.
And as viewable below, the decision to drop the 29 year-old is largely justified. He fared worse statistically than all of his centre-back team-mates last season, leading him to make just one more start than the much-maligned and misfortuned Kolo Toure:

There is a prominent market for the 6 foot 3 centre-back too. He was linked to Barcelona and former club Brondby earlier this month, but recent speculation suggests he's being lined up by Arsenal as a replacement for Thomas Vermaelen:

LUCAS LEIVA
Few at Anfield can imitate Lucas Leiva's high-energy, tough-tackling game, and that uniqueness could convince Brendan Rodgers not to part company with the Brazilian this summer.
But Steven Gerrard's rebirth as a midfield anchor saw the 27 year-old's first team outings dry up towards the end of last season, and the Reds will have high hopes that 20 year-old Emre Can, sourced from Bayer Leverkusen for £10million, can have a significant impact on Liverpool's engine room next year too.
Thus, Leiva's relevance on Merseyside is petering out and although his mixture of experience, quality and work-rate could prove vital for Liverpool in the Champions League, Brendan Rodgers may be unable to resist the urge to sell.
He's already been lined up as a prime target for Rafa Benitez at Napoli, who brought the former Gremio youngster to Anfield back in 2007:

FABIO BORINI
Fabio Borini has already had quite an interesting summer. Liverpool accepted a £14million bid for the Italian forward from Sunderland, having netted ten times during a loan spell at the Stadium of Light last season.

Surprisingly however, the 23 year-old has turned down the opportunity for a permanent switch, stating a preference to muscle his way into the Reds' first team.
But Gus Poyet - either thinking wishfully or knowing something we don't - remains confident they'll acquire the Azzurri starlet's signature within the next few days:
OUSSAMA ASSAIDI
Oussama Assaidi finds himself in an almost identical situation to Fabio Borini, in that he impressed on loan at Stoke City last year and Mark Hughes wants to secure his services permanently.
The Morocco international found five goals in 25 appearances at the Britannia stadium, including this sensational strike against Chelsea:

Likewise, it was believed a £7million deal had been reached between the two clubs some time ago, but recent speculation suggests the 25 year-old's wage demands are getting in the way:

And having made just four league appearances for Liverpool since joining them from Heerenveen in 2012, it would be incredibly surprising if Assaidi outlasted the summer at Anfield.
