Liverpool's Brazilian sensation - no, not Roberto Firmino - has been the centre of much tedious transfer speculation already this summer and the whispering reporters around Europe are looking for the 'Little Magician' to be on the move, but it could really be one of the most hurtful things to happen to the club.

Klopp's revolution is just beginning at Anfield and Coutinho is likely to be a central figure in a side that is currently guilty of a great attacking midfield imbalance.

Firmino, Adam Lallana and Coutinho could well be joined by a returning Lazar Markovic this summer, whilst Divock Origi, Christian Benteke and Daniel Sturridge continue to compete for the main striking berth. Oh, of course, Danny Ings is still at the club, although it is yet to be known how well he will continue to play after his long injury lay-off.

Despite their embarrassment of riches, keeping Coutinho would absolutely make Liverpool's summer. Here are FIVE reasons why...

Klopp-revolution

klopp

With the revolution only just getting under way, Klopp will be dreaming of big things next season.

The worst thing that can possibly happen is losing your best player and it would be made worst that it could just dampen Klopp's faith in Liverpool as a big club.

Coutinho staying would show to Liverpool and Klopp that they can still keep their biggest names.

One in a million

A club without Champions League football, who haven't regularly competed at the top level since about 2008, are going to struggle to replace a player of Coutinho's calibre.

The stature of the club might not be in doubt just yet, but losing another big name would begin to suggest that the club are slipping from the top level of European football.

Kop fave

Since the loss of Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez, Liverpool's Kop have been looking for a new favourite.

The team gets a wave of support with each flick and trick of Coutinho and the loss of such a star could only be hurtful to the fan base.

Coutinho is loved by the Reds of Merseyside and keeping him this summer might just help the fans to believe they can still compete.

Off the seat

Coutinho is a player who gets fans leaping around like a drunken Sam Allardyce.

Brazilian flicks, showboating and top corner screams make him one of the most conventionally exciting footballers in the Premier League at the moment. Along with the box office management of Jurgen Klopp, Coutinho is a star that is shooting for the top.

Liverpool keeping Coutinho would mean so much for the club, the manager and the fans his jaw-dropping moments will be all the more appreciated.

Other worries

Klopp has far bigger worries this summer other than signing more attacking players.

The most-loved, admired and perhaps most-gifted Liverpool player leaving would he horrific for the club. Whilst the defence needs reinforcements and perhaps a defensive midfielder is inbound, being panicked into signing a potential replacement for Philippe Coutinho would be a nightmare for Klopp.
