Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp hasn't hesitated in attempting to rebuild his Liverpool side ahead of their season opener against Arsenal in August.

The likes of Wijnaldum, Karius and Mane have all been brought in by the German, who might fancy his chances of a title challenge after seeing the success Leicester City achieved last season.

But there are pockets of Reds' fans that have been left a little underwhelmed by some of the signings made by Klopp, citing their rivals' ability to bring in real star names. We will have to wait and see how the new-look Liverpool get on when the season begins, but are there some certain individuals that will really give them a chance of winning the title?

Of course there are- real star players who would improve the backbone of any team in the world. So Jurgen, what are you waiting for?

Here are FIVE players who could give Liverpool the chance of winning the Premier League title...

Aritz Aduriz

If you haven't heard of Aritz Aduriz then where have you been?

The Spain forward lit up La Liga last season for club side Athletic Bilbao, dispatching a whopping 36 goals in 55 appearances. He was named as one of the league's most valuable players of the season, and he has a fantastic scoring record in a career that has spanned nearly 16 years.

But even at 35, does Aduriz look like he's about to slow down? Absolutely not- if anything, he seems to be getting better with age- a bit like a fine bottle of Spanish red.

Jonas

Another slightly unexpected name it might seem, but Jonas is a man that has quietly gone about his business for Benfica over the past two years but has performed to devastating effect.

Often played as a central striker, Jonas hit 36 goals last season and 31 the season before that, making him one of the Portuguese League's most prolific goal scorers. He really does know where the back of the net is.

Lassana Diarra

Named in the Ligue 1 2015/2016 team of the season, the much travelled Lassana Diarra is still turning out impressive performances for one of the best sides in France.

As we saw during his time with Chelsea, Arsenal and even Portsmouth, the Frenchman is a hard-tackling, no-nonsense midfielder who will quite happily sit in front of the defence for most of the game.

With Lucas Leiva not looking as good as he perhaps was, this could be the ideal signing for Liverpool.

Ricardo Rodriguez

Ricardo Rodriguez is one of the most exciting young-left backs in the game, and as we've seen on many an occasion, he's been massive for current club Wolfsburg.

He has excellent ability from set pieces and even at just 23-years-old, has over 40 caps for his country. Liverpool are looking a little light in the full-back department and the signing of Rodriguez, who could turn into one of the worlds' best wouldn't be a bad idea at all.

Nemanja Matic

We all know Nemanja Matic well from his time with Chelsea, and with Antonio Conte now at the Stamford Bridge helm, these are uncertain times for some of the current squad.

Conte has an extremely aggressive style of play, and it's been repeatedly questioned whether Serbian international Matic fits the bill.

If not, he could make the perfect signing for Liverpool. He's solid in the middle of the park but also has the ability to get forward and support in attack.
