Dirk Kuyt believes that Luis Suarez will still be a Liverpool player next season, despite speculation about his future.
The Uruguayan ace – who helped his nation make it out of Group D at the World Cup – has been linked with both Barcelona and Real Madrid in recent days, with a number of players and figures close to the ace himself weighing in and urging him to swap Merseyside for Spain
Suarez openly chased a move to the Bernabeu last summer, but he has since signed a new mega money contract and fired Liverpool into the Champions League.
This has been met with claims from the striker that he’s happy at Anfield, and Kuyt – a cult hero at the club – feels that his former team-mate will stay put:
“I think Luis has done a great job in the last couple of years,” he is quoted by Goal.
“He’s had some problems off the pitch. He did an amazing job last year at Liverpool and people can see what he’s done at the World Cup.
“It’s important that they are in the Champions League next season. I don’t see him leaving for another club. I think he will play in the Champions League with Liverpool.”
